Problems

Something doesn't work? First: be sure you are using the Firefox browser (preferably version 3 and up, though FF2 should be OK too). Second: install the necessary math fonts (download for windows, other operating systems: see instructions).

It's true that Internet Explorer can, with the help of a 3rd party plug-in, render MathML, but author of MathTalker deliberately decided to ignore that browser to save himself hours and hours of work. It doesn't matter if you're using IE or FF, installation of additional components is required. Why not make one of them the Firefox browser? It's better.

Don't know the syntax? If you have ever used TEX, the syntax for writing mathematical formulas should look familiar. If not check out the syntax page of the ASCIIMathML project and some more examples here.

What does it mean to close a Whiteboard? By closing a Whiteboard you will no longer be able to post new messages to it. This is a way of closing a particular discussion.
